2023-2024 St. Stephen Volleyball Registration
SSM Volleyball is open to all girls registered as parishioners and currently enrolled in St. Stephen grade school or Religious Education programs in grades 3-8. We welcome athletes of all abilities, including multi-sport athletes.
The registration deadline is Monday, May 29th. Per-student player fees are $100.00 (Grades 4-8), $120 (Grade 3). Registrations received after May 29th will be subject to a $25.00 late registration fee.
Starting this fall, all new 3rd-grade players will purchase a short-sleeve dri-fit t-shirt uniform for $20 rather than the more expensive longer-sleeve uniforms worn by older student-athletes. This short-sleeve uniform style will carry with this age group through 5th grade, at which point they will transition to the more expensive long-sleeve uniform style currently worn by older student-athletes in our program. The $20 uniform cost is reflected in the registration cost for 3rd-grade players.
Those players in 4th through 8th grade will continue to wear the long-sleeve style uniform given all returning players will have already purchased this uniform previously. New players in 4th through 8th grade will be required to purchase the long-sleeve uniform style as well in order to match their teammates ($45). Orders for these uniforms will be taken at tryouts and is not included in the registration price for 4th through 8th grade.
Tryouts (times subject to change) will be held at St. Stephen the Martyr as follows:

- 3rd – 9:00 – 9:45 AM
- 4th – 10:00 – 10:45 AM
- 5th – 11:00 – 11:45 AM
- 6th – 12:00 – 12:45 PM
- 7th – 1:00 – 1:45 PM
- 8th – 2:00 – 2:45 PM
Notes About Tryouts:
- Everyone makes a team. This is for placement only!
- Please check in 15 minutes prior to the start time.
- Tryouts will run approximately 45 minutes per grade.
- YOU CANNOT SHOW UP AT A DIFFERENT TIME! We apologize for the inconvenience, but this did not work last year when we tried this accommodation. If you cannot make the tryout for your upcoming grade, we understand and will do our best on placing girls for the best fit!
- Parents are not allowed in the gym to watch.
- Try to wear a plain white t-shirt. We will PIN numbers on the girls.
Practices and games start in August.
Once teams are established after tryouts we will need to identify coaches. Please let us know in advance if you are interested in coaching.
