What year did you start working at St. Stephen?
2012
Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
I have a BFA in art, a background in art history and graphic design, and a K-12 Art Teaching Certification. Besides teaching at St. Stephen, I operated an art teaching studio called Rhythm & HUES for 30 years.
What do you love about your job?
The students and celebrating God's Creation through the arts with them.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
St. Francis of Assisi
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I have one son who is getting married on October 9th. His name is Joe. I have two large sheepadoodle puppies named Toby and Bear.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Chocolate and Donuts
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I play and have taught piano for 30 years.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Play with my puppies and spend time outside with family and friends.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Be present in the moment, enjoy learning, and find God's goodness in everything you discover.
