Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology, masters of Counseling. I have worked in Catholic Schools for 24 years.
What do you love about your job?
I love helping students to manage life’s challenges and to help them grow as people.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
My favorite saint is St. Theresa.
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I am married and have 3 children. I have one grandchild and 3 dogs.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Mostly Wonder Woman. She had that awesome plane and the Lasso of Truth! For a job, I thought maybe I would like to be a doctor or police person. I really just wanted to help people.
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Snickers!
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I am an artist and love to paint. I travel every chance I get. A hidden talent I have is that plants seem to flourish under my care. I have nursed several friends’ houseplants back to health. Hobbies include being a silversmith and photographer.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Spend time me with family or painting.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Be present, be positive, see conflict as opportunity.
