What year did you start working at St. Stephen?
2018
Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
I majored in elementary and middle-level education with endorsements in math and language arts. After graduating, I substitute taught for half a school year in Grand Island and Holdrege, NE. Now I work here 🙂
What do you love about your job?
I love all the students. They bring such creative ideas and stories that make for very fun and exciting days.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
St. Kateri Tekakwitha is my favorite Saint. My favorite book in the Bible is Sirach.
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I've been married to my husband for 4 years now. We have 16 nieces and nephews between our two families! We also have 2 cats, Dusty and Millie.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a kid I wanted to be a maid. I had a messier room than my brothers at the time so I'm glad I figured out that wasn't going to work 😉
What is your favorite sweet treat?
I love scotcheroos.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I can chirp like a baby bird.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
read, run, walk, camp, or just be outside
