Meet Mrs. Nicole Stringer
We asked our teachers & staff a few questions so that you can get to know them better!
What is your role at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic School?
3rd Grade Teacher
What year did you start working at St. Stephen?
Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
I graduated from the University of Arkansas. I spent five years teaching second and fourth grades in Fayetteville, Arkansas. My husband and I moved to Frisco, Texas and I taught for two years in third grade. I took some time away from the classroom to take care of my family. Once my youngest son started school, I got my teaching certificate for Nebraska and started substitute teaching for a few years before deciding to come back to the classroom as a teacher at St. Stephen the Martyr.
What do you love about your job?
The students! I love watching the students learn and grow. Every day is something new.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - Phillipians 4:13
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I am married to my husband, John, and we have three sons: Will, a freshman at the University of Arkansas, Jake, a junior at Creighton Prep, and Nathan, a sixth-grader here at St. Stephen the Martyr. We also have a six-year-old Cavapoo named Chewie.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Spending time with my family.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Ask questions about what your child is learning and doing each day at school. Be excited and celebrate all their successes-even the small ones!
