Tell us about your educational background & your teaching/work experience.
UNK- undergrad, Concordia for my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education, I’ve taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, preschool, special education and PE.
What do you love about your job?
The kids, the growth, the fact that I get to move all day, the teamwork, the fun!
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter- Olivia and a fun loving, 17 year old son Evan. I have great parents who live in Arizona and a sister (and her family) in Chicago. My oldest grandfather lived to be 97 and I miss him dearly. I have family all over the country.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Teacher and/or author. I have hopes that I will do both 🙂
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Coffee
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I can do voices.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Sleep in, recharge, spend time with my kids and dogs, exercise.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Remember that they are only little once. Show them love and experiences and gift them with your time. Support your child’s teacher because they want the best for your child too!
