Registration for the 2023-2024 football season is now open!

PAL Football is played in Collaboration with St. Wenceslaus and is open to St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church & School parishioners/students in 5th-8th grade for the 2023-2024 school year. Below is more information provided by the head coach, Jeff Dahms.

  • Teams are typically divided up by grades:
    • 8th Grade (PAL Varsity)
    • 7th Grade (PAL JV)
    • 5th-6th (Great Plains League)
  • All necessary equipment will be supplied by the team, including a personalized jersey that the player keeps at the end of the year!
  • Practices are in the evening and will be held at Skutt High School
  • Games will either be on Saturdays or Sundays in the Fall

In general, here is a typical Fall schedule for 7th and 8th grade:

  • Conditioning and Team Building: First week of August (Mon-Thursday, 6-7)
  • The first Practice is on August 7th
  • Practice will be from 6-8 M-Th and 10-11:30 on Saturdays throughout the rest of August.
  • No practices or games on Labor Day weekend
  • After Labor Day practices will be Tue-Wed-Thurs
  • The first game is usually the weekend after Labor Day
  • 6-8 game season, with a 2-week playoff in late October/early November

For 5th – 6th grade:

  • Practice starts July 31
  • The first game is usually the 2nd weekend in August
  • Playoffs begin in September
  • Practices will typically be at Skutt however the times and duration may be different
