What year did you start working at St. Stephen?
2023
Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
I received my education from UNL. I taught 6 years with OPS. I then stayed home with my boys for 12 years and went back to teach for 13 years.
What do you love about your job?
I love kids and building new relations each school year.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
St. Catherine of Siena
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I am married and have two boys who are now 25 and 27 years of age. I also have a 20 year old step son. I come from a very tight knit family, which all live in Omaha. My father passed 10 years ago and my mother is a very active grandma. I have two sisters and one brother, 7 nephews and one niece. We get together often for family events such as dinner, lake time, sporting events (Nebraska games especially) etc.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I have always wanted to be a teacher since I can remember.
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Reese’s
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I love gardening, yard work and biking. I also love to cook.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Spend time with my family, watch sports, and grill out.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Never hesitate to ask questions. Work on a positive mindset, work hard and have fun!
