Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
Education: I went to a catholic school in Brazil from pre-K to high school called Instituto Dom Barreto. I also went to college in Brazil and graduated medical school.
Work History: I worked as a clinical research assistant at UNMC after I moved to the US. But I have always loved teaching. I did tutoring in high school and college.
What do you love about your job?
I love to watch the kids learn and grow and how they each have their own personalities. They are so funny and sweet. I also love that I get to spend my days off and summer having fun with my son.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
St. Francis of Assisi
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
My husband, Pat, and I have one son, Ben (7). We have three dogs, two Boston Terries, Eddie (15) and Mia (4) and one labradoodle, Marley (1).
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A Doctor
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Chocolate
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
I like to read books and do puzzles.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
I love the water so during summer I am always at the lake or a pool. I also like to go on walks with my friends, play with my son and spend time with my family and friends.
