Tell us about your educational background & about your teaching/work experience.
All my educational degrees hail from the University of Nebraska-Omaha (Go Mavs!); I earned my two Bachelor’s Degrees in Family Science (2001) and Elementary Education (2007). I also earned my Master’s of Education in Literary Science (2017). I have taught in Ogallala and Omaha, NE as well as in Parker, KS.
What do you love about your job?
Something I love about my job is seeing the growth of students in one year’s time!
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I have been married to my husband Paul for 14 years. We have three daughters and live outside of Omaha in the country. We have two cats and a rainbow gecko.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to study life in the ocean as a marine biologist! Dolphins and sharks are my favorite animals!
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Dark Chocolate!!
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I enjoy reading and watching movies! I also love cooking and baking.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
I love reading books, trying new restaurants, hanging with family and friends, and traveling to new places. I also enjoy Supernovas VB, Husker FB, and Maverick Hockey!
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Please read and spend time exploring together! Take time to enjoy each other and be present!
