Tell us about your educational background & about your teaching/work experience.
Education: Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Work History: I have taught preschool for 26 years. I taught at Gingerbread House Preschool and at St. Wenceslaus before coming to St. Stephen the Martyr.
What do you love about your job?
I LOVE teaching preschool! I love seeing a child’s face light up when they learn something new! I especially love teaching children about God’s love!
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
My husband, Ted, and I have three children. Abby (26) is a nurse at Ortho NE, Andrew (22) is a college student attending UNO, and Allie (19) is a college student at UNL.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve always wanted to be a teacher!
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Ice cream
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
I love to spend time with my family. I also like to read!
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
