Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a degree in elementary education (concentration in inclusive practices). I substituted for both Gretna and Millard Public Schools before coming here!

What do you love about your job?
There are countless things that I love about my job; “Lightbulb” moments, seeing students smile, inspiring students to think big, exercising creativity, building positive relationships, and many more!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was as young as seven years old, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. There was a moment when I was pondering about being a veterinarian, but that didn’t last long!

What is your favorite sweet treat?
My favorite sweet treat is Cookie Dough Ice Cream.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I am an avid reader. Once I start a book it has to be finished before I put it down! Music was and still is very much a part of my life. I started singing in choir during elementary school and was in varsity choir in high school. In addition to that, I love to dance.

What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Go on walks or simply just relax!

What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Love your child! Stay involved and follow through.
