Tell us about your educational background & about your teaching/work experience.
I have a Masters in Business Administration, a Masters of Science in Elementary Education and an Endorsement in Early Childhood K-6. I have worked at UNO Childcare Center, Sts. Peter & Paul, Metropolitan Community College teaching College for Kids, and I’m a substitute for the Millard, Bellevue, and Omaha Public Schools districts.
What do you love about your job?
What I loved most about teaching is the children. This is God’s planned for me.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
My favorite scripture is Galatians 6:9
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I’m a single mother of three grown children, three grandchildren, and one great grandson with another grandson on the way.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher.
What is your favorite sweet treat?
My favorite sweet treat is brownies with walnuts in them.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I like to sing. I actually sing in a choir. I have been singing for 40 years. I teach Sunday School at my church.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Binge watch TV shows.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Be hands on with your students.
