There can be so much going on as our 8th Graders near the end of time at St. Stephen the Martyr School. We are so excited to celebrate our students leading up to 8th Grade Graduation on May 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Worship Space.
Below are the details you need to know. Please check back for continued updates as we get closer to the big day!
General Information
- Class T-Shirts will be handed out in early May. Date will be communicated as it gets closer.
- Class picture will be taken when shirts are handed out.
- On 4/11/2025, please have your child bring a sweatshirt, Tshirt or HS swag for the school they are attending. We will get a picture of them wearing their shirt for the banner/bulletin board
- Yearbook pictures can be submitted until after graduation and the Washington DC trip. Please help by submitting them!
Class Party
- The coordinators have planned a party for all graduates and their parents. Other family members will have to sit this celebration activity out.
- Class party will be held 5/16/2025 from 6:30-9:30pm at 902 South Street, Gretna, NE 68028
- Dinner, snacks, soda and water will be provided. We have a couple bottles of leftover wine from the Italian Feast Wine Pull that will be available to parents. Otherwise, BYOB for parents wanting other beverages.
- Students will be asked to leave their phones in the car or not bring them to the party. This is a time to celebrate with their classmates. Parents will have phones to take pictures of the festivities and there will be a photobooth to capture memories as well.
Graduation
- 5/16/2025 at 10:30am
- Luncheon provided by Home and School following the ceremony. Students and their parents (or 2 guests) only please.
- Arrival Time and any specific instructions to be provided by school as date approaches
Pay Fees
- The fee to cover all aspects of the upcoming 8th grade activities is $100. This fee will cover a variety of items, including but not limited to:
- Volleyball T-Shirts
- Pizza Party on last day of school
- Class Gift to parish/school (stained glass window)
- 8th Grade Banner or Bulletin Board
- Class Party
- Class Graduation Video
- Fees can be sent to Becci Neesen no later than May 1st, 2025.
Yearbook & Class Video
We are looking for photos to be used in both the Class Video and the Yearbook. The more kids in the pictures, the better. We prefer three or more students to appear in each photo – no single shots please! Submit photos by April 15th.
Parents can honor their student with a Dedication Ad in the 2024-2025 Yearbook.
