Tell us about your educational background & about your teaching/work experience.
I have a degree in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Middle School Mathematics from Doane University.

I started at SSM right out of college and I am loving it! This will be my 4th year here!

What do you love about your job?
I LOVE teaching middle school. I have the wonderful opportunity to watch students grow during their most vulnerable times to their true selves. Forming connections and knowing just how to support a variety of students is truly a reward from teaching Middle School.

Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
My favorite Saint is Saint Teresa of Calcutta. My favorite scripture is “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7

Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I married my husband, Alec, in July 2023 here at SSM! We have been blessed with our son, Bennett, who arrived in May 2025! We also have two cats now, a black cat named Sprinkles and a calico named Ember.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I went back and forth between wanting to be a nurse (like my mom) or a teacher (like my aunts)!

What is your favorite sweet treat?
Either double stuffed oreos or coffee from the Beanery!

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I love to listen and sing to music! You will probably hear me humming in my classroom all day long!

What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
I love to spend time with my friends and family. I also love to solve puzzles and read.

What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Always remember to lead with kindness, practice compassion, and show patience.
