What do you love most about the St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic School community?
I love the community at SSM. The administration, staff, students, and families make it a great working and learning environment.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Limit cell phone usage and do not allow your child to use social media.
What, in your experience, is the best part about teaching at a Catholic school?
I love living and sharing my faith through working at a Catholic school.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
St. Joan of Arc is my favorite saint because of her indomitable spirit, her strong leadership, and how she fearlessly sought and followed God, even to her death.
Ephesians 4:29 – No foul language should come our of your mouths, but only such as is good for needed edification, that it may impart grace to those who hear.
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
My husband Ken and I have been married since 1998. We have a very close-knit family with 4 kids: 3 sons in their twenties and an 18 year-old daughter. We have enjoyed many epic family trips across the country and around the world. For example, in 2012-13, we homeschooled and took our family out on the road in an RV and traveled to national parks. A few years later, we took the train from Omaha to Sacramento and spent several weeks tent camping and hiking around the Pacific Northwest. We have welcomed several international students in our home over the years who have remained part of our family. We have two labrador Retrievers.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was little I was interested in becoming a broadcaster when I grew up.

Dark chocolate
What is your favorite coffee/drink order?
Hot cafe mocha
