Meet Mrs. LouAnn Harral
We asked our teachers & staff a few questions so that you can get to know them better!
What is your role at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic School?
What year did you start working at St. Stephen?
Tell us about your education background & about your teaching/work experience.
I worked at Mutual of Omaha for 10 years right out of high school. When kids came, I choose to have my own licensed in-home daycare center for 10 years. I then returned to Mutual of Omaha working for both Mutual of Omaha and Wisconsin Physician Service (WPS) for several more years. In 2014, however, I got laid off, as most of all Medicare claims work was moved to Wisconsin. In 2016, I joined the staff at St. Stephen!
What do you love about your job?
The kids and the smiles! They are so proud of themselves when they get it.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 42 years. We have 5 grown kids: 4 boys and 1 girl. Four of them are married - my oldest just got married this September! We have 9 grandkids. The oldest will be 18 in November. I gained a set of twins 15-year-olds. The next oldest is 9 and the youngest will be two in December! We also have dogs.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I like ice skating, riding bikes and camping.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Be with family.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
To check their folders, tell them how well they did on their hard work and ask them what they did that day.
