Tell us about your educational background & your teaching/work experience.
I was former High School teacher, teaching chemistry and biology, before deciding to stay home with my young children for 5 years. Last year I started working again as a paraprofessional in Kindergarten classrooms at Gretna Public Schools. I am very excited to be a teaching assistant here at St. Stephens, where my children attend.
What do you love about your job?
I love working with kids! I love helping them learn new things and getting them excited about learning. This year I am also excited to help students grow deeper in their faith.
Who is your favorite Saint or what is your favorite scripture?
My favorite Saint is St. Padre Pio, and I love his quote, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I am married to my husband, John, and we have 3 kids, Lucy (8), Lewis (6), and Milo (3).
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Scientist
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Nerds Gummies or Recess Peanut butter Cups
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I love to Read and play sports (I used to pole vault in college).
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Spend time with my family playing outside, cheering on the huskers, or reading.
