Tell us about your experience in education:
I have over 18 years of experience in education, including seven years teaching third and fourth grade in public elementary schools and the past five years teaching sixth grade at St. Patrick Catholic School.
What do you love most about the St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic School community?
I am excited to become part of the St. Stephen the Martyr community. I have heard wonderful things about the school’s strong sense of faith, supportive families, and welcoming environment, and I look forward to building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
What piece of advice would you give parents to help their child(ren) succeed at St. Stephen?
Help your child develop a love of reading by making time to read together or independently each day. Encourage them to ask questions, stay curious, and remember that making mistakes are part of learning. Most importantly, celebrate both their effort and their successes along the way—those moments help build confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
What, in your experience, is the best part about teaching at a Catholic school?
What I love most about teaching in a Catholic school is the opportunity to share my faith every day. Some of the most meaningful moments happen naturally—when a student asks a thoughtful question, when we pause to pray together, or when we recognize God’s presence in the middle of an ordinary school day.
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I have been blessed with a wonderful family, including my husband, five children, and a grandchild. Our home is also filled with four dogs—two French Bulldogs and two miniature poodles—who keep us entertained! Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, especially exploring mountains and forests, and my husband and I love taking motorcycle trips together to experience favorite places as well as new places across the country.
